Philippine Election 2007

Many things have had happened in the Philippines over the years. A lot of good things, and certainly many more bad things. Through the years, Filipino people had only felt and seen suffering, pain, hunger, illness, bitterness, murder, and poverty. This year and the coming years, we deserve way better than this. Its time for a change! Obviously, change does not occur overnight. It is something each and everyone of us needs to work on over and over again. If we fall, we rise up again. And change comes with wise decision making

I haven't been in the Philippines for almost eight years now. I never had the chance to exercise my right to vote there. Firstly, I wasn't at the right age while I was still residing there, and secondly, I together with my family just decided to become US citizens for various valid reasons. So, a lot of people will think that I do not have the right to even meddle with Philippine politics anymore. And this is all I have to say....YES I DO!!! I am in this as much as everyone is. I respect and still care for this country, my country.

Even though I cant cast my votes anymore, I still wanted to choose from the senatorial candidates. My Top Three would have been;

1. Chiz Escudero
2. Edgardo Anggara
3. Panfilo Lacson

These people, I think are the rightful ones to rule the senate. I like these three because they are proved to have had a change in the society. I remembered Lacson's day as a PNP Chief, and certainly he has done a lot of changes, for the better. Anggara and Escudero had the fair share in the society as well. They, and not some movie actor should win. So What? They acted out as politicians in the movies and they think its as easy as the real life. I probably do not know or understand where they are coming from, but Filipinos are smart enough to make wise decision. Actors are strictly for screens and they should just let the politicians who studied, and went to school or at least came from a family background of such to rightfully fill in as law makers, crime stoppers and helpers of the Philippines.

Im not expecting anyone to understand and agree with these opinions I made. After all, what do I know about all of these? RIGHT? I do not fully understand whats going on inside and out as much as I wish i could. SO dont hate. Hehehe....

PS. oooOOOOoohh. I heard Pacquiao is losing over Custodio. THANK GOD.... People are smart you know. LOL...we have been there and done that. What happened? a BIG nothing... lol.. Know what I mean? anyways.. hope everybody voted wisely. Have a safe week ya'll.

Big Kiss,
Eileenie
